Funding from BBC Children in Need

Home-Start Manchester has been awarded £87k over three years, to deliver a programme of support to children under the age of 2 who are impacted by having a parent or care giver with a mental illness. A Specialist Parent Infant Family Worker will provide support to both the parent/carer and child to help improve their relationship, which will lead to raised self-esteem and confidence, will help to reduce isolation and improve their emotional wellbeing.

Shelley Roberts, Chief Executive Officer at Home-Start Manchester said: “We’re delighted to have been awarded this funding from BBC Children in Need which will enable us to support some of the most vulnerable infants in our area for the next three years.”
